V pondělí 9.října zablokovala společnost Meta na své sociální sítí Instagram účet Socialistické Solidaritě (@socialisticka_solidarita). Došlo tak v reakci na vyjádření solidarity s palestinským lidem a odsouzením útoků na civilní obyvatelstvo.
Společnost Meta nebyla schopna transparentně doložit důvody proč k blokaci účtu došlo. Automatické algoritmy jsou často neschopné rozlišit skutečně závadný obsah a účelové nahlašování. Transparentnost celého rozhodovacího procesu je tak vice než pochybná.
Vyzýváme proto všechny, kteří nesouhlasí s tímto zásahem, aby napsali Instagramu a sdíleli svoje rozhořčení s hashtagem #InstagramCensorship.

Meta attacking activists who condemn violence against civilians
On Monday, 9 October, Meta blocked the Instagram account of Socialistická Solidarita (@socialisticka_solidarita). This was in response to expressing solidarity with the Palestinian people and condemning attacks on civilians.
Meta has not been able to transparently document the reasons why the account was blocked. Automated algorithms are often unable to distinguish between genuinely objectionable content and purposeful reporting. The transparency of the entire decision-making process is thus more than questionable.
We therefore urge anyone who disagrees with this crackdown to write to Instagram and share their outrage with the hashtag #InstagramCensorship.
